ANDREW CARNEGIE BIRTHPLACE MUSEUM
When the Birthplace Museum last underwent a major upgrade, the Hero Fund alcove was enhanced to include additional information and displays about the work and history of the Fund, a new mount for the Roll of Honour and a digitised ‘touch screen’ display.
JOINT HERO FUND MEETINGS
One of the most positive outcomes of the regular joint Hero Fund meetings has been the formation of the Carnegie Hero Funds World Committee (CHFWC), facilitated by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York to mark the centenaries of the European Hero Funds. A website has been designed by the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission and incorporates information about all Hero Funds. It can be accessed at www.carnegieherofunds.org
A further meeting of the CHFWC will be held in October 2017 during the events arranged around the award of the Carnegie Medals of Philanthropy in New York.
